Breaking Monster High News!
Quick update, while I wait on an Ebayer to pay me, so I can mail off her doll, because I REALLY don’t want to have to drag a box with me on vacation.
I ordered Gooliope Jellington from Amazon. She should be here by the time I come back from my vacation!
She’s double jointed. DOUBLE JOINTED!!! *dies*
There’s also talk of releasing a 17″ Frankie, Clawdeen and Draculaura. If so, I will buy the HELL out of those!
Travel buddy!
So, after much debate on who I am going to take camping with me, I decided on one of my Azone girls. They are cute, small, and have interchangeable hands, which makes photos a bit more fun. Of my four, I chose one of my xs Azone girls, Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi from “The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat”. We ditched her schoolgirl uniform for a better suited sundress, and there’s a MH hoodie as well as a pair of pjs. Her boots are borrowed from middie Blythe, and the socks are her own. As you can see, she has my granny square as a blanket.
I probably won’t have a chance to update tomorrow; I’ve got some last minute running around before I leave on Saturday, and communication will be spotty. So, I’ll see y’all in 10 days from now, and hopefully I’ll return with lots of good photos of our camping adventure!
I’ve discovered something…
I’ve come to realize something after getting in two of the three Licca. Although Licca clothing fits Blythe, Blythe clothing doesn’t look as good on Licca. It’s too big. DOH!
Now, Middie Blythe clothing fits better, but is too short, so I think I’m going to be hunting down a few official Licca outfits. Which is good, because they are pretty cheap.
Also, I think I am going to be in the market for a Momoko doll. They have some awesome clothing. I’m not sure which one, though. I’ll be scouring Mandarake.
I was considering Momoko, before I went with a Pullip, and unfortunately, I don’t really like the Pullips. I don’t know what it is. Maybe the feel of the plastic, maybe, that no matter how pretty they are, they all look the same, and don’t have the personality (to me) that Blythe have. It’s a shame too, because they have some awesome stock outfits.
Now back to the great Momoko hunt…and only five days left until my vacation!
Doll restylin’- Loup!
I’m trying to sell off a few of my dolls. One, I need some money. Two, I have a bunch of resin dolls I have not played with in forever. Over time, my collection has changed direction, from bjd to Blythe, so some resin needs to go. However, this one isn’t one of them. Loup (pronounced Lou). Loup is an Irrealdoll Ringo head in oriental skin. I got her second hand and traded to a Resin Soul slim body for her, and it’s perfect. She was rocking a pink wig, that looked really good, but today, I randomly tried a wig on her, one that I was going to get rid of, but lo and behold. SHE LOOKED AMAZING.
That wig is going nowhere, and Loup, is not going anywhere. Not that there ever was a danger of that.
The only bad thing is the wig is a bit small and it tangles easily, but it looks so perfect on her, I will deal with the issues!
My Three Licca
Not that I intended this to happen, but I have 3 Licca-chan headed my way in the mail. Two are from Japan (because Mandarake is evil) and the other is coming from Thailand.(Etsy is also evil). It helps that they can wear Blythe clothing and shoes. The only one who might be difficult, is the 2nd generation girl. However, I’m the most excited about her, so I’ll overlook her awkward size.
I’d better not get rid of any of them…don’t need three Licca-chan hunting me down!
Licca-chan, of the two-legged variety
I’ve decided to get a Licca, and not just to harvest the body for Blythe. The main reason I hadn’t got one before this point, was that I wasn’t fond of the faces, or the makeup. Then, I found an older Licca on Mandarake, and decided that yes, that was the one for me. I’m not sure which of the 4 generations she is (correction, I know she’s not the 1st, because she has 3 eye dots, and I’m pretty sure she’s not the 4th, because she isn’t as generic looking as they are) We shall see, once she gets here.
Have you ever heard the three-legged Licca-chan urban legend? No? Well, here you go. I just better be careful, and never, ever, throw her away…
Maudlynne McCobb the Second, arriving for duty!
A couple of friends and I decided to get a Maudlynne McCobb doll, from Tonner, because, 1) she’s cute as hell 2) so we would have matching dolls, suitable for our dolly coven!
I’m really pleased with her posing, and think she’s freaking adorable. I just hope her hair doesn’t get too snarly!
Achievement unlocked!
Nada has been given slight gaze correction, sleep eyes, and both pull rings have been changed out for some light chocolate brown Twiggy Twiggy rings. The only difficulty I had was the scalp was connected to the back plate, but with a little patience, a small knife and a bit of slow and gentle wiggling, it came off easily.
Bild Lilli, Hong Kong Lilli, Debbie’s Different Moods, an update and a poll.
I’m kind of fascinated by Bild Lilli dolls now. For some reason, I just assumed they were the vintage Barbie, and didn’t pay much attention to them, until a eBay search for Susie Sad Eyes showed Lilli as a related search.
I want one now. I love the haughty eyebrows, I love the style. I’m pretty sure she’s flipping amazing. At this point, I’m even fascinated by the Bild Lilli clones, of which there are several. I’m particularly enthralled by Debbie in Different Moods. How cool is she?! I’m pretty sure I will find one of these ladies to grace my collection.
Nada update; I received her Twiggy Twiggy chocolate pull rings in, so on my next off day, I will be opening her head, changing cords and giving her sleep eyes.
Now for the poll. I’m still torn on what hair color I want for Finch/Jett. I’m torn between green and black. So here, look at Finch, look at hair colors and give me feedback please on what you think would look good on her.
